The GBC Motorsports Heartland Challenge Moves to Carlisle, Iowa
Carlisle, IA - The GBC Motorsports Heartland Challenge, presented by PIAA, announces a change in venue for the 1st Annual event scheduled for November 7-8, 2008
The GBC Motorsports Heartland Challenge was originally going to be held in Montezuma, IA at Fun Valley Motocross Park, but after an overwhelming response from racers and sponsors, it was feared the Fun Valley location wouldn’t have enough parking for the event, so the GBC Motosports Heartland Challenge will now be held in Carlisle, IA, which is a suburb located just southeast of the capital city of Des Moines.
To our delight, the Fun Valley crew will still be assisting with the event at the new Carlisle, IA location and making the trek to Carlisle to assist in making this race a success.
The new location offers plenty benefits including more hotels, restaurants, and easier access to the Des Moines International Airport, all of which are located within 12 miles of the track. In addition, the Carlisle facility is just a quarter mile off of a four lane road, which makes access much easier for big vehicles and trailers. The facility is also easy to get to from just about anywhere by Interstate 80 and Interstate 35.
The Carlisle and Des Moines community has been very active in assisting with the GBC Heartland Challenge, and with the support of the communities around this race, it will truly make everyone feel right at home.
In addition to the location change, the GBC Motorsports Heartland Challenge is also pleased to announce that our online registration is now up and running! To register, simply go to the GBC Motorsports Heartland Challenge website at wwwheartlandchallenge.com to download the entry form.
We at the GBC Motorsports Heartland Challenge are thrilled to see the excitement and commitment in our community and look forward to the opportunity to welcome everyone to the GBC Motorsports Heartland Challenge at its new location in Carlisle, IA on November 7-8, 2008.

Sept, 1st-
GBC Motorsports has been announced as the title sponsor of the
first-ever Heartland Challenge Endurance Race, scheduled for November
7-8, 2008, at 222 190th Ave
Carlisle, Iowa. GBC has pledged to pay out a 1st place prize of
$7500.00 in the Pro Utility ATV class, which is the highest amount
ever paid for a Pro Utility class win, and $7500.00 for the winner
of the Pro Sport ATV class as well.
In addition to the enormous Pro payout's, GBC Motorsports is also
heading up a contingency program for the event. In order to be
eligible for the GBC contingency program, every machine used on
the team must have on GBC tires for the entire duration of the
race. The Pro Sport ATV and Pro Utility ATV class contingency
payout is $500.00 each class for 1st place. The ATV Sport and
ATV Utility Ironman classes will have a $250.00 payout for 1st
place, while all other classes will pay out $100.00 for a 1st
place finish.
The Heartland Challenge is a true ATV endurance race that is designed
for the Pro’s, to the amateurs, to UTV classes, and features
the toughest class of all, the Ironman class. The two-day event
offers plenty of fun and excitement for everyone. There will be
14 classes racing all at the same time, with NO breaks. Each team
will be allowed up to 3 riders per team with as many quads. All
teams will be allowed to use only one quad at a time, while all
other quads will be held in a secured location. Each team will
be allowed to switch out quads through out the 10-hour event,
but no repairs or inspections will be allowed on the ATVs while
in impound. There will be no breaks or time-outs during the race,
which means you will not lose the lead you have on the other teams.
The Heartland Challenge also will be offering the very first 3-Hour
Challenge for youth ATV riders with 5 different classes for ages
ranging from 4 to 15 years old. The 3-Hour Challenge teams will
be just like the big boys with up to 3 riders with as many quads
without any breaks. Side-by-Side racing has also been included
by popular demand to compete with their own 3 hour challenge on
Friday evening. We will be offering 4 classes and the racing will
wrap-up after sunset, so lights will be required.
